Love my SnuzPod (So awhile back my mum was a judge on the Prima Baby awards, and after the awards you get to keep a few of things you really liked. Well a brand new SnuzPod has been tucked away in our home waiting for a new arrival. I got a really strong urge to get it scrubbed and wash all the fabric and reassemble it. It’s gorgeous, need to get some more SnuzPod sheets to fit and they do a tidy you hang over end of crib. Only downside is our bedroom doesn’t accommodate it in current configuration, so Takie has agreed to switch the bed and wardrobe round so we can do side by side sleeping which I’m hoping will help with night-time breastfeeding. When the bedroom is all set up I will take some photos. I believe SnuzPod are going to be at The Baby Show in October so that might be the ideal time to check out the bedding options. Also I’ve unfortunately lost track of the mattress so will need to get a new one those too.

Exercise

  • Walking
  • Yoga breathing and meditation

Diet

Whatever doesn’t come back up again – the plainer the better. Except curry, I can eat curry but I can’t eat blueberries, grapes, pies or drink Tea.

How I’m Feeling

The throwing up has gotten really horrific and I’m very tired; I think I’m still recovering from the shock of last week. I’ve had the tiniest bit of brown discharge but I don’t think it’s anything to worry about, the remnants of the spotting I had in week 10 I hope.

I was a bit nervous about going to the dentist. I had a wisdom tooth out after I had Ava and it was traumatic and took me at least three weeks to recover (they had to saw the tooth in half as the root was in a nerve). Since having Ava I have sensitive teeth and whereas before I never minded going to the dentist now it does make me a tad anxious. So, I was relieved when the dentist told me my teeth were good, to start using tepees as well as flossing and to use a Fluoride Rinse after I’ve been sick and to wait 20 minutes before brushing my teeth or eating or drinking anything.

Pregnancy Questions

This week my question for my mum (Sarah Beeson) was…

Q: Why is dental care such a big deal during and after pregnancy?

A: Hormonal changes during pregnancy can be a risk factor for gum disease so keeping your teeth and gums healthy is important. To get free dental treatment during and after pregnancy apply for Maternity Exemption Certificate (MatEx).

After you baby is born ensure you go to dental check ups regularly as it’s still free for a year and as always prevention is better than cure.

Pregnancy Tip

If you’re experiencing morning sickness rinse after you’ve been sick with a fluoride rinse and wait 20 mins before brushing your teeth or eating or drinking anything. Make the most of the free dental care and book yourself in for a check up #11weekspregnant #antenatalcare #dentalcare #pregnancyproblems #morningsickness
